Atypical Publishers is a young, ambitious but incredibly new start-up that wanted a different approach than the tried-and-true one. They want to take on interesting projects such as short stories and niche markets that deviate from the norm (such as slam poetry, essays, and science-fiction). They approached me to concisely portray their identity so they could start crackin’ and get them books on shelves already. They wanted a logo to begin with and a brochure to send out to contacts in the mail.
What came out of my consultations and research with Atypical was a very modern and edgy design with vibrant colours and cutting lines that would propel them into the world they were preparing to soar into.
